Re-discovering “blogging”
I just discovered (or re-discovered) a photography blog that has me re-thinking about my own blog. I’ve been toying with the idea of this blog being an exploration of my journey as a photographer; but when poring over the blog created by fellow Seattle photographer Matt Waller’s blog, it occurred to me that my photographs are really my journey, not my approach or development per se. I like how Matt uses his blog to share images that relate to his travels and experiences, rather than the blah-blah of the photographic process.
So, all that remains for me now as I continue my own journey is to have some experiences! Which is why I got back into photography in the first place: to force myself out of the house and away from my XBox and experience the world, rather than avoiding it.
More soon … or later.
